CGIA Institute signs a landmark MoU with Arni University, India

The Chartered Global Investment Analyst Institute, an online & membership based professional body of finance and investment professionals has on July 1, 2021 signed a landmark partnership agreement with Arni University, India.

Arni University is a leading Indian institution of higher education, providing a rare combination of technical and academic excellence to its students. Since 2011, the university has been accredited by UGC, India.

In a virtual signing ceremony held on July 1, 2021, the representative of both institutions expressed their appreciation and reiterated their commitment to helping to raise highly ethical finance and investment professionals.

Speaking first and on behalf of the CGIA Institute, Peter E. Welch, FCGIA, President of the CGIA Institute emphasized on the critical elements of ethics as embedded in the CGIA curriculum.

“I strongly believe that ethics will play a key role in the training that we give to students of both institutions. And at CGIA, ethics is a core part of our curriculum”.

“These important partnerships with Institutions of Higher learning such as Arni University, will surely give all players a broader platform to reach more students who are eager to pursue a career in the finance and investment management industry” he said.

Speaking on behalf of Arni University, Prof. Kalyan K. Sahoo, Vice Chancellor of Arni University expressed his appreciation and how this partnership will offer students at Arni University to gain exemptions from CGIA exams to earn them their charter designation as finance and investment professionals.

“This partnership offers our finance and commerce students at the Masters level the singular opportunity to start their CGIA exams only from the final level” he said.

With this partnership agreement executed between both bodies, Arni University’s current and past graduates in the MBA and M.Com programmes will receive exemptions from some selected CGIA exams to be approved by the CGIA Institute.

Mr. Vivek Singh, Chancellor of Arni University who also witnessed the partnership signing ceremony congratulated the Arni University Family for this grand success.
